The Swede Lars Jonsson paints birds. Already in the age of four or five years, he was interested in the feathered and their living space and started to paint them. Finally the passion became to profession and at the end of the 1970s Lars Jonsson had received international reputation. Today he is one of the world’s greatest nature and animal painter. The selection of his works, which is showed by the existing accompanied publication, reaches from sheets of his sketchbooks over works, that were created for the illustration of nature-guides and other books, to watercolours and oil paintings. With the exposition in Oldenburg Jonssons works are going to be showed in an individual exposition in Germany for the first time.
